I feel as though this is very appropriate for what I am going through right now because although fashion faded from my life for the stint while I was working a desk job in marketing, I have always had the style and drive to get right back in there. Never lose sight of your dreams because they really do come true!
After a long absence, I return with excellent news! I am going to be the new PR Coordinator at Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue. This is the assistant PR Director role just with Neiman Marcus naming. I could not be more excited to start my dream job and jump right back into the fashion industry. Expect many more updates and this blog to be nothing but fashion all the time … now with an insider’s view!

Yesterday I decided to make a second attempt at the newly opened Magnolia Bakery. I am a huge fan from my NYC days and I was so excited to have it in Chicago now. Like any true fashionista, I was anxious at my desk job and decided I needed a power walk, mini shopping adventure, and a stop at Magnolia to see if it brought the same memories back. And it did, in BIG ways. It was exactly how I remembered!
I can’t wait to go back! The cheesecake almost trumped the cupcakes!
Saw this frightening picture of a model during the Gianfranco Ferre show Monday night in Milan. This is terribly skinny and I actually feel bad for her. All I want to do is say, “Girl, run to Weiner Circle, grab some cheese fries and chow down. FAST!”
I purposefully placed her picture next to a picture of me in front of Baked by Melissa in SoHo in NYC. I LOVE SUGAR… .apparently she does not…
Just for comparison, she is probably around 6 feet tall and I haven’t made it to 5 feet yet [may never happen, but there is always that slight glimmer of hope that will remain with me the rest of my life]. I am a petite woman with an ass…and I couldn’t be happier! Just be happy and healthy. I am always so thankful all of my beautiful girlfriends are healthy and happy and amazing. I would never want anyone to think this model represented the norm.
Nothing like a mother-daughter shopping spree. I loved taking one of my best friends and her mom shopping for a special occasion. We had so much fun singing, laughing, and dancing in the dressing room.
Nothing beats a mother-daughter Sunday at Neiman Marcus!
